The Furniss Suite
John Cooper Furniss was a master baker in Truro, who in the 1880s founded the company that bears his name. His Cornish Fairings biscuits are still in production today. Legend has it that he died saving the life of one of his employees in an industrial accident.
The Furniss Suite is an elegantly furnished suite in a stone annexe overlooking the courtyard, adjacent to the main house.
It has vaulted ceilings with exposed original beams, and a spacious bedroom area with a hand-made ‘Antoinette’ king-size mahogany bed and matching furniture, with a walk-in shower in a contemporary-style en suite wetroom.
It has also a comfortable sitting-room area, with a stable door leading on to its own patio with garden furniture.
In addition to the usual facilities in all our rooms, the Furniss Suite has:
- Fridge
- Champagne glasses
The cost is £80 per room per night, which includes breakfast for one or two people. This price includes a non-refundable 50% deposit, also per room per night.
We shall be delighted to arrange champagne, chocolates or flowers to suit your requirements.
